Teaching Like Ted Lasso-SEL Edition

I had a ton of fun talking with John Golden, math professor at GVSU, on the “Teaching Like Ted Lasso” podcast about how I integrate SEL into the math classroom. Of course, the concepts apply across the curriculum to all subjects and age levels.

It was part of a larger episode looking at SEL in the hit TV show Ted Lasso and applying it to our classrooms. My contribution starts at 13:50 but check out the entire episode for inspiring ideas to support our students!

Pulse of PBL

Teaching SEL through PBL

This one was fun! Matinga and I both were guests with Drew Perkins over at TeachThought Podcast discussing our book Pulse of PBL: Cultivating Equity Through Social Emotional Learning.

In this extended conversation we answer some of the pushback against SEL and PBL in the classroom, explaining how we believe that it is an optimal framework for all learners. Give it a listen and let us know what you think!
